Kylesku Lodges

Kylesku Lodges is a family run business consisting of 10 A-frame lodges on a 10.5 acre site in the parish of Assynt in Sutherland. With an enviable position on the untouched North West Coast, the lodges at Kylesku are where rustic hideout and timeless natural beauty entwine. A perfect location to explore the untamed wilderness with incredible beaches, hidden waterfalls and wildlife on your doorstep. You’ll find them by the Kylesku Bridge, just off the North Coast 500. Meander up the drive and you will be blown away by the breath-taking panoramic view over Quinag and out over the sea loch, Loch a' Chàirn Bhàin. Mike and Cath Sinclair bought the lodges in 2016. Their background in construction and design allowed them to see the potential and use their skills to breathe life back into the place. The opportunity was just too tempting. Now in their sixth season, they feel very fortunate to have met so many colourful and enthusiastic guests. They've welcomed families, solo travellers, groups of friends, celebrated artists, actors, film crews, groups of divers, photographers, walkers and wedding parties! Each winter they work to improve the lodges, inside and out - there are just the two of them so things take time. Over the last six years they have fitted new bathrooms in each lodge as well as updated the flooring, decor and furniture. Last winter they upgraded all the kitchens and completed re-cladding the lodges in Scottish larch.They also have a new reception for arrivals which doubles up as a studio/shop for Cath's knitted textiles (covedesign.net). All lodges sleep up to four guests and have stunning sea loch and mountain views and excellent wifi. Kylesku Lodges have been given Trip Advisor's Travellers' Choice™ award for the second year in a row. The season generally runs from April to October but there are opportunities to stay in the winter as three of the lodges have wood burning stoves.
