Did you know that textile seam sewing is almost always done by hand? What is the difference between viscose and lyocell? Why are the virtues of organic cotton more and more debated? A large percentage of our clothing donated ends up in open landfills in the Global South? This collaborative card game workshop, comprised of various mini games, focuses on clothing but applies to all textiles and illustrates the complexities and impacts (social and ecological) of the textile industry. After getting the big picture, you will then work together to find solutions and take home actions of your own. This workshop is inspired by the pedogogy of the Climate Fresk (a card game and interactive workshop that teaches the IPCC Climate report). Plus has some new twists! Experience this unique way of learning, if you are new to the Fresk universe of workshops. Launched in 2021, Textiles UnTangled has been enjoyed by over 900 participants.
