La Mare Wine Estate

La Mare Wine Estate was established in 1972, the first building dating back to 1600, and has since been developed into a popular island attraction. La Mare offers informative tours of the vineyard, including tastings of the wines and Apple Brandy Cream. Visitors can also enjoy the orchards, extensive gardens, the Cooperage and the Vineyard restaurant offering breakfast and lunch. Private tours and corporate events are available and can be designed to suit the number of guests required. Chocolate making classes and gin brewing events are amongst the most popular offering an enjoyable way to reconnect with your colleagues. La Mare has a number of versatile meeting and event spaces available for private use: The Garden room is a versatile granite meeting room with a wood fire and large windows overlooking the courtyard and old walnut tree. The Farmhouse boardroom is an exclusive space ideal for meetings that require complete privacy or for intimate lunches. Guests have the option of an exclusive entrance and can expect a fully catered meeting. The Winery is a large and versatile room in the heart of the estate capable of accommodating gala dinners, weddings and large corporate gatherings. The Vineyard restaurant, open from March to October, offers stunning views of the vines and apple orchards from the bright and comfortable eatery. Breakfast and lunch are served daily and coffee meetings can be easily accommodated. Private evening use of the restaurant is available by prior arrangement. With 13 acres of vineyards, about 7 acres of orchards and a Cognac style distillery, La Mare can produce a variety of different products from Branchage cider, VSOP Jersey Apple Brandy and the award winning Jersey Apple Brandy Cream. As well as being well known for the production of Black Butter, farmhouse preserves, an extensive range of chocolate, confectionery products, La Mare also distills Jersey Royal Gin and Vodka using the Jersey Royal Potatoes.
