Lab 15

Established by architect Kristian Sofus Hansen and designer and entrepreneur Tommy Hyldahl, LAB 15 works within the fields of furniture, interior and lighting design, refined objects and art direction. The award-winning design duo aims to combine Japanese aesthetics with Danish Design, to achieve a characteristic twist to simplicity itself. Most of all searching for the small, new and original detail, which lifts the design, by adding a specific signature. In their search for inspiration they handpick details and references from different historical design periods, and put them together in new ways to create fresh and original design concepts. Working with art and sculptures, the process expands in new and exciting ways, with the goal of creating characteristic, functional and timeless design. The design process is significantly influenced by many years of experience within product developments, working hands-on with suppliers on achieving the right finish, quality and price point. All designs are based on the same approach of creating design in different layers, starting from scratch to a full storytelling of each design collection.
