Labayen Dance Sf

Labayen Dance/SF is a celebrated contemporary ballet company founded and directed by Asian American choreographer Enrico Labayen and is renowned for its unique movement language and an artistic vision of believing the importance of art as an integral bridge for meaningful intercultural exchange and for enhancing the pluralistic experience of contemporary American society. The Company has received grants and support from the California Arts Council, the San Francisco Arts Commission California Artists Series, San Francisco Grants for the Arts, the International Theater Institute (Asia), the University of New South Wales in Australia, the National Commission on Arts and Culture (Philippines), the University of the Philippines (UP) Film Department, Arts International (USA), The Zellerbach Family Fund, The Hotel Tax Fund, The Asian and Asian-Pacific Islander Cultural Grant for United States of Asian Americans and the Dutch Ministry of Culture's Artist Exchange Program in the Netherlands. Labayen Dance/SF has earned tremendous success nationally and abroad.
