Labomba Cafe
La Bomba is a boutique, friendly Spanish and Latin inspired café in the south side’s Spring Hill. Under the talented eye of owner and head chef Chris Clarke, it brings a bit of exotic flavour to Brisbane! Hailing from Melbourne, which is a food Mecca in and of itself, Chris was determined to bring the same quality to Brisbane that its southern counterparts are known for. While working in fine dining restaurants in Melbourne, many patrons would proclaim Chris’s food to be the best they’d eaten, and he’s well and truly brought that same flair to La Bomba. Being and artsy person, Chris has also explored the worlds of fashion, design and architecture, and that creativity shines in his dishes. Fascinated and enticed by the exotic mixes of barbequed and grilled meats with fresh salads and vegetables that Latin cuisine is known for, Chris makes sure La Bomba’s menu really reflects the Spanish food he loves. “Spanish, Latin and Mexican food incorporates fast and slow cooking, complex and simple flavours,” he says, which is why you’ll see lots of perfectly seasoned meat with gorgeous fresh vegetables and homemade condiments (like salsa verde, bernaise and relishes) on La Bomba’s menu.
