Loving And Caring Friends Initiative Africa (LACAFIA) is a Children's Ministry under Advocates For Jesus Ministry International (AJEMI). LACAFIA was started as away of expressing love to the vulnerable and marginalized children."Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done." Proverbs19:17 LACAFIA was formed by a dedicated team of devoted Christian youths led by Muwanguzi Nabbunga Lasto who decided to come together to work towards improvement of welfare of marginalized and vulnerable children in their community (Nansana, Wakiso District, Uganda) The circumstance on the ground is characterized by:increasing levels of HIV prevalence, unemployment among the youths, illiteracy, lack of technical skills, child labor, early marriages, street children, school drop outs, orphans, mortality rate due to malnutrition among others. Such social problems inevitably pushed them to start an organization in order to come up with practical interventions to curb such conditions affecting children and youths in the society. Vision: To reach into the lives of vulnerable and marginalized children in our community with the Gospel, portray the love of Christ and teach them the things of the Lord.( Proverbs 22:6) Our Mission statement: To give hope to vulnerable and marginalized children through availing them with spiritual development, Medical care, and Education Our Slogan: Let's give life to a child.
