Lahara Avenue School

Lahara Avenue School is a privately operated school that offers a School Based Curriculum for early learners (Kindy & Preschool) and the DOE standard base curriculum for Grades Prep to Grade 6. The standard base curriculum content is integrated into the school’s curriculum structure. It aims to produce a generation of well-educated and well-formed citizens who are self-starters, life-long learners, and have a well-developed sense of purpose and responsibility to themselves, family, community and nation, must be competent and confident learners and communicators in a fast changing world and contribute to a better future for children by providing foundation and formative learning so they grow up competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind body and spirit, respectful in their families and communities, secure in their sense of belonging and in knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society. The school believes in the potential of teachers to provide leadership in schools. It recognizes teacher leadership as a catalyst for change and provides resources necessary to support curriculum implementation.
