Lake Wells

LAKE + WELLS is a collective of independent Designers founded in 2010. Having tapped into the rich manufacturing landscape of the midwest through previous design positions as well as his family's history with the industry, Mark Kinsley decided to create a company premised on utilizing great American resources to create well-designed and innovative products. Whether we are creating products for ourselves, or for clients, LAKE + WELLS will continue to evolve and grow as we collaborate with other Chicago and Midwest designers to celebrate American Design, Manufacturing, and Ingenuity. Living in the heart of downtown Chicago, near two iconic cross streets, Lake Street and Wells Street, we see daily reminders of America’s rich industrial history in the city’s definitive steel bridges and towering skyscrapers. While no piece of furniture could ever compare to the solid steel bridges that cross over the Chicago River, the same attitude that created those robust industrial structures runs deep within the designers that call this area home.
