Lake Woozoo

We are Lake Woozoo We produce music and develop artists from our studios in Leeuwarden. We come from a place of 'left field pop,' influenced by indie, hip-hop, alternative R&B, and electronic music. We love catchy hooks combined with weird sounds with attitude, especially when they blend. That’s why our inspiration often comes from artists who accidentally became pop stars. Our productions are detailed and our workflow is flexible, moving from plugins to outboard gear, from electronic beats to well-arranged instruments, and from doing everything in-house to assembling a dream team of specialists. We focus on - songwriting, producing and mixing with an a&r-mindset - developing artists 360 degrees - designing and facilitating talent programs (see: We do all of this as a small team, with a shared, never-ending passion for creating music, hospitality and developing products. This all leads to a very cherished and warm community, that we’re excited to commit ourselves to everyday. In 2023 we received the highest regional recognition when we were awarded with the Frisian Pop Award. We're steadily building, resulting in fifteen million (+) streams on Spotify already. We’ve hosted artists like GINGE, jet van der steen, Wolfskers, The Cool Quest, Dave Budha, Roxeanne Hazes, Joost Klein, Katie Koss and FAY.
