Lakeland Networks

In Lakeland Energy Ltd.(LEL) was founded as a company to support a few distinct opportunities. LEL’s interests vary from: handling the maintenance and repair of our municipality’s streetlights; tankless and conventional water heater rentals; and ISP connectivity/fibre optic networking. The driving force behind the launch of our fibre network was to improve our internal level of communications between sites. Once our needs were met, we knew other businesses were in the same position of requiring high bandwidth and a level of security that can only come from fibre optics. Lakeland Energy’s mandate was to create a fibre network throughout Muskoka and be able to support all businesses with competitive offerings with Fibre networks speeds in excess of 100Mbps. As LEL’s network grew, other technology services were being added. Over time, it became apparent that this division had outgrown the name of Lakeland Energy. We needed to be more recognizable within the technology field. In 2010, LEL created a separate division, Lakeland Networks. Lakeland Networks is our IT/Communication/ISP division. We are a full service ISP provider. We deliver digital services and provide faster internet and clearer broadband phone service. We offer complete services ranging from Wireless, Site to Site Networking, Fibre, VOIP, Email and Web Hosting to local IT support. As LEL and Lakeland Networks evolve, we continue looking into the future – seeking out new technologies and opportunities to support our Northern Ontario’s business environment. Our mandate is to provide our local areas with the communication services that connect them to what is important in their lives.
