Lakeshore Senior Services® is a private home service agency located in Chicago. We serve the Chicago metro area and Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties in Northwest Indiana. We’re not part of a national chain or franchise. Our home services staff is highly experienced and they and our entire organization are committed to our clients. Our experienced administrative staff works closely with a cadre of highly professional caregivers (with experience in the field from 16 to over 30 years), chosen for their reliability and compassion as well as their training interest in continuing education. We are proud to be employers and not a referral source or part of a franchise or chain. Our people are covered by liability and workers compensation insurance. Each one is fidelity bonded. Care for our employees ranks second only to concern for our clients. We never accept a client unless we feel we can help; and when we accept an assignment we begin by pairing trusted caregivers compatible with the needs and personalities of those we serve. Supporting seniors with all the activities of daily living, we recognize the humanity of each, and we want to see each one thrive and express their personalities and talents, giving back, where possible, to the communities of which they form a part. Our caregivers are there to help, not to take over and diminish the initiative and individuality of those we care for. We recognize the decision to remain in their homes means our clients maintain their pride and privacy. Above all, the help we provide is not simply to facilitate aging in place but to promote independence and the expression of the rich tapestry of our clients’ experience and character.
