Lakewest, Inc. is a real estate, venture capital, and private equity investment company affiliated with Belgravia Group, Ltd, a leading Chicago residential developer. Lakewest has been a developer of retail shopping centers, a purchaser of prime infill real estate assets, and an investor in other opportunistic business ventures. Lakewest Venture Partners (LVP) is an affiliate of Lakewest, Inc. and is led by Buzz Ruttenberg, David Mann and Jonathan McCulloch. It was formed in 2013 to pursue seed and early-stage investment opportunities primarily in Chicago. In its first several years, LVP's investments and participation in companies ranged from passive interest at to lead seed stage investments in excess of with board involvement. In 2015, LVP partnered with Dundee Venture Capital to make lead seed stage investments in high-growth, early-stage technology companies across the Midwest. Today, LVP continues to broadly invest in early-stage opportunities and in funds run by elite managers with diversified strategies.
