HISTORY Lallah Chambers was founded in 1913 and is a specialised leading set of Barrister Chambers in Mauritius. The Lallah family has a rich heritage in the legal profession in Mauritius with a number of attributable accolades. This heritage can be traced back to 1903 when Mr. Boodhun Lallah was admitted as the first Indo-Mauritian to practice as an Attorney-At-Law in colonial Mauritius in 1903. His younger brother, Mr. Dunputh Lallah, followed in his footsteps and was admitted to practice in 1913. In addition, Mr. Dhunputh Lallah entered the field of politics in 1926 becoming the first Indo-Mauritian to be elected to the Legislative Council. TODAY Lallah Chambers is a specialized service law practice, which caters for the needs and demands of our clients. We provide an efficient, prompt and effective response.
