Lallemand Brewing is a division of Lallemand inc, a global leader in the development, production and marketing of yeast, bacteria and specialty ingredients. Lallemands presence in the brewing industry dates from the early 1970s when the company started producing dried pure culture brewing yeasts for beer kit manufacturers in Canada. In subsequent years, this activity was expanded to the production of other specific ale and lager beer yeast strains for different clients in the United States, Europe and Australia and Asia. Lallemand’s extensive and unique knowledge in the propagation of different yeast strains led us to be consulted on yeast nutrition by a number of international breweries. As a result of this expertise, we developed -and continue to perfect- a specialized range of yeast and yeast nutrients that target brewing industry’s specific challenges. Lallemand’s activities in the brewing industry have continued to grow, expanding beyond yeast-related production for the industrial, micro and home brewer. The acquisition of both the Siebel Institute of Technology and AB Vickers Ltd. allowed for the creation of a broader portfolio of products and services aimed at supporting the industry’s needs.
