Landlark

Landlark is a charity, funding vital education and training in schools to equip young people with the knowledge and awareness of relationships that may become abusive or controlling. Landlark's vision is for a world in which no one lives in fear for their emotional, mental or physical safety. In order to achieve this Landlark believes we need to challenge and change the narrative. The way we ask young men and boys to view young women and girls, the way we ask young women and girls to view themselves, the way we discuss masculinity, the way we tell young men to 'toughen up','never express your feelings', the way we encourage them to objectify and treat women and girls. The drip drip of engrained misogyny that lends itself and ultimately leads us to a society where male violence is an epidemic. In the UK, a woman is murdered by a man every three days. What has been done before is not working. At Landlark, we believe the only way to make change happen is through education, and with young people themselves at the helm. Landlark works with third party education and training providers and funds vital courses in schools to teach, empower and enable young people to become ambassadors for positive change themselves.
