Lanesboro Local connects local growers, producers and artisans with consumers and businesses who value the extra special care and creativity that go into producing our local bounty. Our mission is to support local growers and producers whose success directly contributes to the strength of the local economy. Through our website and our retail Marketplace in Lanesboro, we are building awareness of the true value of locally grown and produced goods. Both website and Marketplace lead consumers to local producers and facilitate the exchange of:* Pastured meats and poultry * Sustainably grown vegetables, fruits, herbs * All-natural honey, maple syrup * Wild edibles (blackcaps, morels, native herbs)* Local specialties (rhubarb, hazelnuts, black walnuts, signature entrees)* Farm-fresh eggs, cheeses and dairy * Home-baked goods, including gluten-free * Handmade jellies, pickles, preserves, dried foods * Flowers and plants, natural fertilizer * Hay and grain * Hand-crafted furniture, pottery, clothing * Visual arts, jewelry, gifts * Local services (including local cooking and food preservation classes, woodworking, handyman, writing services)* And more. With the support of a growing membership and generous donations by Friends of Lanesboro Local, we are pleased to offer consumers access to the best of our local bounty – including that of producers across southeastern Minnesota, northeast Iowa, southwest Wisconsin. Our goal is to nurture a culture of healthy self-sufficiency for families and businesses in Fillmore County and across the broader area.
