Langmeil Winery is a blend of Barossa’s cultural beginnings and a family’s commitment to world-class, old vine winemaking. Established as a trading post in 1842, this remarkable site is a captivating pocket of Australia’s wine history that is a must-visit when in the Barossa. Owned by the Lindner family, whose own mark on the Barossa spans seven generations of farming, food, community and wine, Langmeil Winery is renowned for its preservation of old vines and the making of distinguished wines from exceptional sites. At the pinnacle is The Freedom 1843 Shiraz, made from what is believed to be the world’s oldest surviving Shiraz vineyard, planted in 1843.
