Lanwa Sanstha Cement Corporation (Private) Limited is a Cement Grinding, Blending and a Packing Plant at Mirijjawila Export Processing Zone in Hambantota. This is a state-of-the-art plant with a manufacturing capacity of 2.4 Mtpy. Lanwa Sanstha Cement Corporation (Private) Limited (LSCCPL) is a subsidiary of Ceylon Steel Corporation Limited, a company which possesses the unblemished brand of ‘Lanwa’ which is famous for high quality steel products. The plant comprises of latest VRM type cement grinding units, fully automated raw material management, fully automated packing and dispatching of bagged and bulk cement. Further, the entire plant is managed via a centralized plant control, monitoring and management system resulting in efficient and environmentally friendly operation. Lanwa Sanstha Cement will feature a fully automated stacker reclaimer yard, two Bridge Type Ship Unloaders, a 2.4km Covered Conveyer Belt for transfer of raw materials from Hambantota International Port to manufacturing facility and a storage capacity of MTs. The facility has been designed to be environmentally friendly in keeping with industry best practices.
