Our Laboratory of Adsorbents for Chemical Analysis, Environmental Protection and Biomedicine (LAQAPAB) represents the importance of purifying natural resources and creating new materials for application in nanoscience. The activities of our laboratory LAQAPAB. These are the lines of research carried out in the Department of Chemistry at PUC-Rio that cooperate with other national and international institutions. We work: In the development of the methodology to immobilize functional groups on the surface of nanostructured solids; In the construction of modified cartridges for solid-phase extraction of environmental pollutants; In the preparation of carbon nanomaterials such as nanodiamond, graphene derivatives and carbon nanopoints; 🧪 In the use and development of nanostructured materials (adsorbents) to extract metals and aromatic pollutants from the environment 🥽; In the evaluation of our nanoparticles, verifying that they are safe for humanity and their applications in Medicine.
