Latex Records

Latex Records is an independent record label and music and subculture media website complete with CD & Book reviews, interviews, news, product and artist information, as well as a plethora of related subculture articles and information. Prior to Latex Records, I was running a site called RhythmUS Network. This was a personal project which had grown from what was once a personal website into an official domain out of my love of music and my personal "quest" for knowledge, as well as all the various subcultures, literature, and other influences along the way. On this site, I was writing CD Reviews, conducting Interviews, running 3 Internet radio stations, keeping current news postings, running live chats with artists such as cEvin Key and Phil Western with fans. I even had a live radio show with video at one point run by my friend DJ Pulse, the previous owner of Mediacast1 on Rant Radio and various other sites and stations. All of this was to promote independent music that I love so much! I was even writing Book Reviews and various articles on obscure topics as I was also dabbling with mysticism, theology and occult philosophy as my own world view was growing along with my creative drive and urge to assist the success of artists. Thus, I was also discovering neo-pagan music and spirituality. While this was a strong influence, it was not to be my stopping point, but that is another story. The logo for this site was a combination of a Norse Raidho rune and the Hindu Vissudha Chakra. The rune represents rhythm and journeys and the chakra is related to communication and rhythm as well. While running RhythmUS Network, I came up with the idea to release a short-run CDR containing music by the artists I had been promoting with the site. This grew into the CD-R Record Label idea, to be called Collective Creations, which then turned into Latex Records. However, Latex Records never released a CD-R. That project became Electro Age I.
