Laubwerk

Founded in 2010, Laubwerk is a Berlin based CG software company that offers fast and fluent solutions for architects, CG artists, and VFX experts requiring 3D plant models while working with popular 3D software platforms. Products 1) The Laubwerk “Plants Kits” are cross-platform collections of high-quality, render-ready, procedural 3D plants species and cultivars that provide architects and 3D artists with professional results in less time. Each Kit comes bundled with the free Player plugin (currently supporting 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini, and SketchUp) that brings the 3D plants to life. Drag-and-drop simplicity, and easy-to-use tools give users one-click access to realistic 3D trees that can be fine-tuned for season, age, variation, and level of detail. 2) Laubwerk “SurfaceSPREAD” is a software extension to vegetate landscapes by rule-based distribution of vast numbers of plants on terrains. 3) The Laubwerk C++ SDK, Python interface and Ruby interface are available on request. Our botanist and 3D artists create state-of-the-art, curated 3D plant models, which are carefully handcrafted as well as partly procedurally modelled. Laubwerk has customers in more than 100 countries, from small businesses, universities to VFX and architecture corporations to enterprise business partners such as Audi AG, Volkswagen AG, OBI, Esri Inc, Foster+Partners, Perkins Eastman, David Chipperfield Architects, The Boundary, Ronen Bekerman, Double Negative, National University of Singapore, Aalto University, Leibniz University Hannover, and ETH Zurich.
