The Leak Defense System, a Watts brand, is a whole house automatic water shut off and monitoring system that is installed onto the main water line coming into a home, where it maintains a continuous watch on the volume of water passing through it. Homeowners set the parameters according to their lifestyle regarding the volume of water allowed to run for a specific length of time. Should those parameters be violated, the Leak Defense System will sound a local alarm, notify a third-party security system and send a text message or email via the Leak Defense System app to the homeowner to advise of the alarm state.
