The LCD model moves everyone away from giving learners more classes and courses to designing a strategic multiple learning asset offering or "learning cluster", that is tailored for diverse learners' needs and flow of work. This is how we truly change behavior on-the-job for our internal employees and external customers. Organizations today are free from the limitation of classes to build talent capability. But our traditional L&D models and customer education methods can't design learning across the flow of work, because they focus on delivering just one asset - a course, program, set of videos, etc - to the learner. This creates one-size-fits-all, one-time and one-place learning that can only hope to make a difference. Our differentiator is our process. Learning Cluster Design is the only ID model used by experts that strategically surrounds learners with the right set of assets to create change on-the-job. The model is supported by the Association for Talent Development and is published through the book, “Designing for Modern Learning: Beyond ADDIE and SAM”. Given a particular training challenge, we work with you or teach you how to analyze and design the strategy for a set of learning assets that have higher confidence in changing learner behavior on-the-job - a choiceful cluster of learning assets that surround them and empower learning to happen.
