Learningplunge, Inc

LearningPlunge is a nonprofit with a mission to make learning – both substantive and critical thinking – fun for all kids and to build and strengthen communities. We have developed two educational games, played in teams, that are filled with knowledge and strategy, and that develop leadership, communication, and other critical social-emotional skills. GeoPlunge is an award-winning U.S. geography game and we have just released HistoryPlunge, a U.S. history game developed in collaboration with the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery. Our GeoPlunge digital app allows students to improve and practice their skills. All of the proceeds from the sale of our games, as well as donations, allow us to provide teacher support and also to organize city-wide tournaments that have been held for over a decade in Washington, D.C. and other cities. These tournaments focus on providing needed opportunities for Title I and other schools in underserved communities.
