Leeds Community Spaces

Leeds Community Spaces (LCS) has the aim and objective to run a diverse and supportive range of community buildings in Leeds that facilitate the goals, talents and aspirations of the people who use them - so that they can flourish and thrive. Together, we want to build a better Leeds, one that is fairer, more democratic and more inclusive. LCS is a new organisation that has evolved from a feasibility study run by “Leeds Locality” as part of a national community ownership and management of assets programme funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG). LCS a charitable company; its board of trustees is made up of a group of community leaders from across Leeds who have made a real difference in their communities. They have come together to create this new organisation to run community buildings and help them flourish and thrive.
