Legato Music

Our aim is to provide high-quality music education, training, and performance opportunities to students of all ages and levels. We are passionate about cultivating a love for music and art and empowering individuals to express themselves creatively. Legato Music is founded by Jeannette Chin in 2003, as a small music business with just a few teachers at Taman Fortuna in Penampang. Through her unwavering determination and hard work, she has trained students, teachers, and staff to excel in their respective fields. In 2013, Legato Music moved to The Peak Suites with the intention of expanding. Today, the center boasts a team of around 20 members and offers hundreds of weekly classes. Jeannette’s contributions to the development of this center are immeasurable, and we are grateful for the foundation she laid for its success. With the passing of the baton in July 2022, Legato Music is now under the management of a team of five exceptional individuals, including Raymond Goh (Principal), Joanne Vun, Jude Limus, Kienz Wong, and Samuel Siaw, who have been among Jeannette’s best team members and teachers. These passionate individuals are committed to building upon the foundation laid by Jeannette and driving the center to even greater heights. With their leadership, Legato Music will undoubtedly continue to thrive and inspire future generations of musicians, leaving a lasting impact on creative education in Kota Kinabalu.
