From a small coffee shop meetup ten years ago to a thriving peer support network, Leicester Startups CIC has become a cornerstone of Leicester’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Proudly Leicester-born, we focus on supporting startups and scale-ups in Leicester and Leicestershire while connecting them nationally and globally. With a deep understanding of the local economy, we act as the "connective tissue" that drives a successful startup ecosystem. What We Do Powered by partnerships with British Business Bank, Sir Thomas White Charity, Brewin Dolphin, Randall Sun Capital, and others, we support founders with a range of impactful initiatives: • VentureVersity IP Accelerator: Collaborating with Leicester’s universities to turn academic ideas into commercial successes. • Co-Working on Tour: Monthly co-working events for networking and collaboration. • Leicester Startups Accelerator: A 12-week program culminating in investor Demo Days (57 startups supported, £2.4M raised to date). • Investor Club: Real-world pitching practice with investors. • Help Engine: Automated mentor matching with an extensive network. • Monthly Mixers & Startup Workshops: Fireside chats, founder meetups, and skill-building events.
