Hello, my name is Marc Leonard. I am a loving father of two adult children and have been married to my wife since 1996 – YOGA found me when we moved from Germany to London in 2013 when I was 45. I had several burnouts, a major one and a physical breakdown in 2009, which ended in a severe car accident. The fact that I survived this accident without physical injuries changed my life! I learned the lesson to slow down and look after myself – I gradually lost more than five stones by changing my lifestyle and habits. After being made redundant from a very successful corporate IT Management position, I took the long-seeking opportunity to graduate as a traditional Hatha Yoga Teacher at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in London in June 2019. In July 2023, I graduated as a Yoga Acharya (Master of Yoga) after a one-month advanced yoga teachers’ training course (ATTC) at the Ashram de Yoga Sivananda in Orleans, France. This intense Teachers’ Training and a month in seclusion changed my life. From practising Yoga as a physical exercise, I became a spiritual yogi and teacher passionate about sharing the yoga science and wisdom with lovely students and like-minded people, regardless of their ethical or religious background or gender. Thus, I truly embrace Unity in Diversity! I founded Leoprana Ltd. to provide IT Consultancy focusing on Change Management and transformational coaching through Yoga. I teach at several Better UK leisure centres in Royal Borough Greenwich and Lewisham, London.
