Les Dix Sens

Pralong is a little hamlet at the end of the Val d'Hérens, tucked away at the foot of the Grande-Dixence dam at an altitude of 1'600m. It is a magical place that has managed not to change over the years. The farmers till put their little black cows out to pasture in fields surrounded by pines and larches. And, of course, a river runs through the middle. the Dixence. The Dix Sens has been in Stephane family for several generations and was an old alpine chalet that we have renovated with great care and attention to detail. The culture of the Valais now blends subtly with touch the Far East. With private or shared bathrooms, our four rooms are comfortable. Traditional furniture are pleasantly decorated with Burmese, Chinese, Nepalese and Vietnamese handicraft. Most rooms have a direct access to the outside.
