Letitia Hill Atelier

Letitia Hill is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher and educator based in Cill Chiaráin, Conemara, Ireland. Through a delicate dance of agency, modality and ritual, Hill shapes her female gaze through traditional craft and collaboration. Her artistic practice is embedded in the process of rigorous research, navigating local histories, her stories, rituals and mythologies. Exploring traditional material, craftsmanship and storytelling, celebrating the human condition's universality, and commemorating lives lived and tales untold. Hill creates a deep sense of empathy and intention to provide nourishing and safe environments for stories to be told and heard. Hill studied at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design in New Mexico, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2016 and is the recipient of the Emerging Artist of New Mexico. In 2021 Hill received a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the National University of Ireland Galway, Burren College of Art.
