Levain Et Le Vin
levain et le vin" is a sourdough bakery and natural wineshop in the Jan Pieter Heijestraat in Amsterdam Oud-West. We focus on the quality of all our products and our production process is as natural as possible. The bakery is specialised in baking with wild yeasts. No artificial yeast is used, only sourdough. This is the same for the wine we sell. They are naturally made from pure grapejuice, with as little as possible intervention in the vineyards and the wine itself. The wines are produced by small-scale farmers that harvest by hand, use old wooden pressers and have a lot of passion for their wine. Natural wine and sourdough bread are both made by fermentation with natural yeast, biological ingredients and handmade by professionals with passion for their product. We try to minimize the "footprint" of our company by working as sustainable as possible. As little as possible plastic: no straws, plastic bags, plastic lids, plastic cups. Our suppliers are chosen on the same values; based on their sustainable way of working, biological products and local establishment.
