The Lewis Pugh Foundation works for the preservation and conservation of our oceans for a peaceful and sustainable future. Change is driven by individuals, not by institutions. Which is why our Foundation is powered by inspired individuals and dedicated small teams. The Lewis Pugh Foundation convenes NGOs, governments, scientific institutions and concerned citizens around the world, uniting them around our common cause. And we get results. Our campaigns make a tangible difference. All of them are centred on our oceans. To date we have helped protect over 3.5 million km² of ocean, and we’re not stopping there. Life as we know it first began in the oceans, and all life fundamentally relies on them. But beyond what they can do for us, the oceans have their own intrinsic value. They have a right to be just as they have evolved over millennia: in perfect balance. As do all the creatures that live in them, from the tiniest krill to the most majestic whale. That's environmental justice.
