Lextar Electronics Corp. is the leading Optosemiconductor maker integrating upper stream epitaxial, chip, and downstream package, SMT and module. Founded on May 23, 2008, Lextar is a subsidiary of AU Optronics, the leading TFT-LCD and solar PV manufacturer. Lextar specializes in manufacturing LED epi, chips and packaging. The range of applications includes display, sensing, automotive lighting, UV, and professional lighting. Lextar officially acquired LightHouse Technology Inc. in March 2010, and Wellypower Optronics in 2013. Lextar currently has 2 manufacturing plants in Taiwan and 1 in China. The company established Ennostar Inc. with Epistar via share swap in Jan, 2021.
