Lian Xi - 练习和联系

The concept of Lian xi is simple: • (Lián xì) means "connection, relation, to get in touch with" • (Liàn xí) means "to practice, to exercise" Lian xi is about meeting people and discovering their culture while practicing their language. We connect people from all over the world who desire to learn Chinese with Chinese speakers who are interested in learning a foreign language. Once a week, we organize friendly 1.5 hour meetings where participants are grouped into pairs (a Chinese speaker and a foreign language speaker) to discuss about given topics. The first half of the meeting takes place in Chinese and the second in the language of the other participant. Chinese speakers and foreign language speakers can discuss and share about their culture while improving their language skills. We provide participants with a vocabulary sheet with all the words and expressions necessary to communicate around the topic of the session.
