The mission of the Lieber Institute for Brain Development (LIBD) Maltz Research Laboratories is to discover the genetic and molecular foundations of brain disorders and develop next generation treatments that enhance the lives of those affected my mental illness. The Lieber Institute is an affiliate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is located adjacent to the medical campus in the new East Baltimore Bioscience Park.
