Annually, Life Community serves over 800 children and families from low-income and/or dysfunctional backgrounds through five core programmes. Our programmes focus on intervention work, including preventive, remedial and holistic development (character, moral values, social and emotional well-being) to reduce potential problems such as crime, drug abuse and poor academic, physical, social and mental health. Our aim is for our beneficiaries to build strong foundations in their growing years and to reach their fullest potential, with resilience and purpose, later in Life Community has five core programmes, which has a focus on intervention work, care and mentoring. 1) FRIENDS OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH Intervention approach combined with mentoring, food rations, care and support for children and youths of parent/s presently/formerly incarcerated. Their ages range from 6 to 16 years old. 2) MIGHTYKFC Providing a safe space, with mentoring, interest-based activities and workshops, targeted counselling, food and home visits for children and youths (aged 4 to 16) in the Telok Blangah region. 3) EDUGROW FOR BRIGHTER TOMORROWS An early intervention programme that aims to propel children (K1 to P6) from lower-income families towards a path of social mobility through mentoring, group academic coaching and parents engagement. This is a joint project with The Hut Limited. 4) LIFE STUDENT CARE After-school care for children (aged 7 to 12) whose parents require additional support, in an environment akin to a second home. We focus on holistic development from a young age (Social, Physical, Intellectual, Creativity, Emotional, Moral). 5) FRIENDS2GATHER Cultivates positive learning experiences, socio-emotional skills, and school connectedness by fostering mentoring relationships between mentors and children aged 6 to 8 from vulnerable Support us @
