Patricia Barrett is a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, with more than 20 years experience in finance. She is also a trained mediator. Barrett offers individuals and couples going through divorce a clear understanding of their finances, so they can make informed decisions with regard to a settlement. The goal is to develop a truly fair and equitable division of the marital estate. Barrett regularly attends continuing education forums, institutes and symposiums on divorce financial planning, and speaks frequently on the topic. She became a Certified Financial Planner in 1998 and practiced in the field for more than a decade. In 2004, Barrett decided to specialize in divorce financial planning, and started Lifetime Planning. She studied English at Abilene Christian University, and attended the University of Houston with a focus on Texas divorce laws and financial issues, as well as mediation and advanced family law.
