LifeWork provides assistance to adults, adolescents, families, and couples struggling with a variety of issues. We help people dealing with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, feelings of emptiness, intense emotions, family conflict, relationship conflict, and more. We specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT is a specialized form of therapy that looks at a person or family's whole situation, helps them understand what is happening, and helps to find balanced solutions that last. We help people acquire and master skills that can be used everyday and will assist you long after you have left services. We also utilize other types of counseling and therapy including CBT, Mindfulness-based CBT, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, and other mindfulness based treatments. LifeWork also provides classes to help learn skills to use in everyday life. Current classes include our Empowering Parents program and Parent Compass (twice monthly parent support group). We also do presentations and trainings for schools and businesses. Some of those include "Mindfulness in Everyday Life","DBT Informed Practice in Schools","The Biology of Emotions", and "Understanding Self-Harm." We also provide trainings for professionals in DBT and using DBT skills in multiple settings.
