Lighthouse Osteopathy

At Lighthouse Osteopathy, in Downtown Ottawa, Neil Melanson uses osteopathic techniques and physical therapy to treat many injuries and acute and chronic pain syndromes. Osteopathy is a client-centred discipline that is based on understanding the relationship between structure and function in order to enhance the body’s inherent ability to heal. It relies on skilled manual therapeutic techniques to assess and treat the client, guiding the natural self-healing properties of the human body. Multiple manual and bio-dynamic osteopathic techniques form an integral part of our approach to treating the whole body, not just a complaint in isolation. This is fundamental to ensuring our patients’ long-term health and wellness. Neil graduated from the College d’Études Osteopathique (CEO) in Halifax, completing his Osteopathic Research Thesis on the Attitudes and Experiences of Self-Treatment Within the Osteopathic Community. He is a member in good standing with the OAO (Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners) as well as the CMTO (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario).
