At Lights Camera Language, we coordinate private, small-group, and business English programs that are 100% virtual. Our courses are thematic, conversational, and student-focused. We synthesize original and open-source material to create courses that are not only engaging and fun, but also increase speaking confidence in our students and lead to language acquisition. Incorporating Second-Language Acquisition methodologies and approaches such as Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), and methodologies such as the Direct Method, Comprehensible Input, and Critical Pedagogy, we base our philosophy of learning on three pillars: 1) Curiosity - stimulating an interest in English language and culture, and cultural difference, through question-asking and answering; 2) Confidence - encouraging students to express their opinions, thoughts, and beliefs in a comfortable virtual environment, and 3) Competence - facilitating effective classes through the strategic use of media, articles, songs, games, and activities that help students acquire language
