Lightstream Research

LightStream Research (LSR) was founded in 2017 with the goal of melding traditional research with alternative data and AI to provide deeper insights into companies, industries and economic conditions. Our Asian focus is centred on Japan and India with a particular emphasis on the automotive, machinery and materials sectors and the technological developments impacting them. LSR produces financial models as well as company, sector and thematic reports. We aim to identify divergences between the superficial and underlying performance of companies by deepening our understanding of the companies' core strengths and weaknesses. To that end, we combine qualitative research involving discussions with companies and studies of the science behind new technologies with rigorous quantitative analysis using both financial and alternative data.
