The Lihir Malaria Elimination Programme (LMEP) was established in Papua New Guinea (PNG) in 2015 as a not for profit NGO (LMEP - Charitable Trust Inc.) with the goal of achieving malaria elimination in the Lihir Group of Islands. The programme is 50/50 funded by an Alliance between Newcrest Mining Limited and Medicines for Malaria venture as joint project sponsors.
