Limarko Group

Limarko Group was founded in 1993 as one of the first maritime business companies in Lithuania after gaining independence back in 1990. It consists of Limarko UAB, Limarko Shipping Company AB, Limarko Maritime Agency UAB and Baltkonta UAB. Limarko UAB is the managing company, controlling major stakes in Limarko Group companies. Limarko UAB provides services relating to maritime business. Limarko Shipping Company AB specializes in reefer and container cargo transportation by its own vessels. Presently fleet consists of 7 vessels. Limarko Maritime Agency UAB provides freight forwarding, warehousing, custom broker service, ship and liner agency, container transportation and other logistics services. Baltkonta UAB provides container and other cargo transportation, including oversized and heavyweight cargoes as well as door-to-door transportation services. The company is also engaged in organizing multimodal transportation. The milestones of Limarko Group 1993 – Limarko UAB founded; – Limarko UAB's activities are certified according to ISO 9001 standard; – Limarko UAB became the founding member of Lithuanian Shipowners' Association; 2002 – Limarko UAB became a member of the Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO); 2003 – Limarko UAB acquired Klaipeda Transport Fleet AB, which was renamed to Limarko Shipping Company AB in 2004; 2005 – Limarko Maritime Agency UAB is established; 2008 – Baltkonta UAB is established; 2014 – Limarko Maritime Agency UAB was granted the AEO status; 2014 – Baltkonta UAB became a member of Global Project Logistics Network (GPLN); 2017 – Baltkonta UAB became a member of the World Cargo Alliance (WCA); 2019 – Limarko Maritime Agency UAB became a “FONASBA Quality Standard Approved Company”.
