Limbe Leaf SACCO is an employee-based SACCO that was registered in 2011 by employees of Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company. In 2021, the bond was opened for other organisations to join the institution. Limbe Leaf SACCO is affiliated with MUSCCO under Chapter 2 in Central Region. It has nine board members and three sub-committees; Education, Credit and Supervisory. The SACCO offers loan services to members only. To become a member, you must contribute monthly shares and Savings. In 2015 and 2018 Limbe Leaf SACCO was honored as the best SACCO in the central region and the whole Malawi.
