We are Social Security Disability attorneys. We assist individuals with Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI, DIB, Title II benefits) and Supplemental Security Income Payment (SSI, Title XVI benefits) disability claims. Most of our clients are located in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, but we can help individuals anywhere in the United States. We assist individuals who: • Have not yet applied for benefits • Have applied for benefits but need help with their application and forms • Have been denied benefits • Have been scheduled for an Administrative Law Judge Hearing • Have been denied by an Administrative Law Judge • Have questions about the Social Security Disability process. We offer free consultations with clients to determine if we can help. If we believe we can, we typically represent clients on a contingency-fee basis. Generally, for an individual to be approved for disability benefits by the Social Security Administration: • They must currently not be working (or if they are working, they must be earning less than “Substantial Gainful Activity”: an amount determined yearly by the Social Security Administration); • They must have a physical or mental condition (or a combination of physical and mental conditions) that interferes with their ability to perform work; • The medical condition(s) must be severe enough that it has prevented the individual from performing full-time work for at least 12 months, or it is believed the condition(s) will prevent the individual from performing work for at least 12 months in the future; • There must be ongoing medical treatment for the medical condition(s), and the individual must be compliant with their doctors’ orders; and • The individual’s treating physician or psychiatrist must be willing to provide supportive medical opinions on the individual’s behalf.
