LionAid are a registered charity based in the UK (charity number 1137606). Dedicated to the preservation and conservation of wild lions. Focused primarily on Africa, with outreach programs globally. We work tirelessly and efficiently to raise awareness and importantly to bring about legislative and policy changes to make it harder for poachers and hunters to kill lions. We are also actively engaging with African tribespeople to put in place sustainable and workable solutions. We engage with politicians, ministers, local tribes, both in the UK and Africa. founded by Dr Peiter Kat, an expert on lions and lion conservation, LionAid is actually making a sustainable difference. Working with schools and mainstream media we are also raising awareness of issue like- Illegal poaching - Canned hunting - How those holidays where you walk with lions and help nurse baby cubs are actually part of the canned hunting industry. People are paying to raise lions who are then hunted and shot- Trophy hunting - The balance between lion preservation and local peoples needs - there are win win solutions.
