Lipilichi Wilderness

Lipilichi Wilderness is a private company registered in Mozambique, dedicated to the long-term management of protected areas in Niassa in collaboration with governments and local communities. Our work centres on empowering the communities of Chipanje Chetu and advancing conservation efforts through sustainable tourism as well as resilient food security mechanisms, participatory governance, anti-poaching, human-wildlife conflict mitigation, skills development and education initiatives. Since 2007, Lipilichi Wilderness has been in partnership with the communities of Chipanje Chetu and the Provincial Government of Niassa, focusing on the management, conservation, and sustainable development of the region. Our efforts are directed towards enhancing living conditions, promoting ecotourism, and ensuring the preservation of vital wildlife species. For over a decade, we have successfully developed and managed Chipanje Chetu as a community conservation area, achieving significant progress in both wildlife conservation and community resilience.
