Lisa Kirkbride Designs

I’m a graphic designer, illustrator and pattern designer living in sunny Whitley Bay in the north east of England. I founded LKD in 2002, following seven years working within North East design and marketing agencies. I specialise in producing eye-catching and impactful * brand identities * brochures * advertising * newsletters * exhibition/event graphics and * online/social media graphics. My surface pattern style is heavily influenced by my background in graphic design. This is reflected in my designs which are bold, vibrant and fun. I'm inspired by Scandinavian design and 1950s vintage fabrics and wall coverings. I’m driven by my love for creating patterns – especially florals – while exploring new colour combinations that catch the eye. Ultimately, I love to make art that makes people smile. I have work licensed in the US in the stationery, fabric and home goods markets and I have been commissioned to create pieces for brands across the region including packaging for bespoke candles, illustrated prints, gifts and confectionery.
