Litc Computational Intelligence Laboratory

The LITC, created in 1996 in the Department of Electronic Engineering at the UFMG School of Engineering, is one of the pioneer laboratories in Brazil in the field of Artificial Neural Networks. Over its decades of existence, LITC has trained hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students and contributed significantly to the development of human resources in the area. LITC's field of activity is quite broad, ranging from the fundamentals of machine learning, statistical learning, recurrent models, kernel machines, and language models (LLMs), among others, to applications in various sectors such as steel industry, mining, energy, and the automotive industry. LITC's research activities are maintained through projects with public funding agencies and joint projects with private sector companies (https://delt.eng.ufmg.br/laboratorios/).
